Sarah White Stillman
L.Ac, MSOM, Dipl. O.M.
Practicing in Boulder and Lyons, CO
I was lucky enough to grow up in Telluride, CO where I received my first acupuncture treatment at age 15. In 2007 I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado in Boulder. I began my four years of study at Southwest Acupuncture College immediately after.
While in school I began an apprenticeship at the office of Aloha Wellness under a world-renowned local acupuncturist who practices the Japanese style of Oriental medicine, Dr. Jeffrey Dann. I graduated with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine in 2011 and now own White Peony Acupuncture. I
am board certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M.) by
the National Committee of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and
am a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac) in the state of Colorado. My
continued acupuncture studies took me to
different schools and clinics in Japan in 2011 and 2014.
I practice both at Aloha Wellness in south Boulder and in nearby Lyons, CO. Though my schooling trained me in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), I now
specialize in Japanese acupuncture, which is by contrast much gentler. The Japanese style of acupuncture focuses on balancing the qi by gently strengthening it through very delicate needling techniques. In this style, we use smaller needles, use less stimulation, and do
very shallow insertion of the needles.
